Row 5 Bobble Stitch Row White: Slip stitch into next dc, *ch3, dc next dc, (3dc, ch 2, 3dc) into first ch2 space, dc into next 2, bobble stitch in next dc [instructions below], dc in next st, skip next 2 dc, dc into next 2 dc, bobble stitch, dc in next st, (3dc, ch2, 3dc) into next ch2 space* repeating around, change to red, turn
Bobble Stitch: Yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull through (three loops on hook), yarn over and pull through 2 of the loops. Note that to complete the double crochet you would yarn over again and pull through the last two loops, but you are skipping that step here.
Repeat the previous step four more times so that you have five not-quite-complete dc stitches worked into the same stitch. There will be six loops on the hook. Yarn over and pull through all six loops. This closes your bobble crochet stitch.
Row 6-8 DC Rows: Slip stitch into next dc, *ch3, dc next dc, (3dc, ch 2, 3dc) into first ch2 space, dc into next 6 dc, skip next 2 dc, dc into next 6 dc, (3dc, ch2, 3dc) into next ch2 space* repeating around
Row 9: Bobble Stitch Row Red:
Row 10-12 DC Row: Red
Row 13 Bobble Stitch Row White
Repeat rows 6-13 one more time (or two more times if you prefer a longer length).
Enjoy!

When I logged on to this website, I clicked on free patterns. I then clicked on what I thought (under free patterns) was for free holiday patterns. I clicked on Bobble Christmas Tree Skirt.
The only way to get the pattern was to click a link that went to Ravelry and said pay $2.00. I thought it was supposed to be free. If not it is under the wrong heading.
I bought the pattern yesterday for the Christmas Tree skirt and I’m confused and hope you can help me. On Row 5 it says to complete row 4 again swapping a bauble every 5th stitch. Swapping the 5th stitch for a bauble or???? Sometimes the 5th stitch is one of the 3 dc used to make the point would I then just do the bauble and then 2 dc chain 2 and then 1 bauble and 2 dc?
